Growth

Quite a while ago, I almost killed this lovely plant (I still don't know its name). It had very sad, dead leaves. I tried to cut out bits to remove those and make it better but it still looked very unwell and didn't get better. On the other hand, I could see a few new sprouts coming from the root. Eventually I decided to cut the whole grown leaves. I had to be quite brave as I didn't know how it would affect the plant. Those grown leaves were still alive but I let them go. There was nothing left except young and weak new sprouts.

Now it is very healthy good looking plant (yay!). These (photo) are all grown from tiny young sprouts which gradually spreaded out again. They absorbed the energy and started to grow and grow.

Sometimes pain is neccessary for growth. Well, there might be no growth without pain as we all already know. I do often forget this truth. As long as there is hope and dream for tomorrow, it is probably worth enduring the pain today to see better tomorrow.

Lunch

Rice roll with crispy seaweed.

What I had for lunch at the park in town.

1. Cook the rice! - plain rice (korean), black rice, chineses dates and pine nuts
2. Mix it with crispy seaweed and sesameseed oil.
3. Make a ball shape.

It was perfect for outdoor lunch. Yummy :)

Radio wave

Unexpected twist, Radio wave by Shin Seung Hun

There is a Korean singer who I did love his music from when I was about 11 years old. I used to buy his albums whenever it is released by spending pocket money I had collected. I used to buy the music script of his song to play piano. Mostly they are love songs, tender-soft pop ballads style with his amazing singing and I loved them.

Now, there is his new album, 'Radio wave'. His music style has been changed into sort of soft modern rock, which I like. He has written all the songs in this album (He probably has been doing this but I have been rather away from his music for a long time). His voice is even more amazing in depth (even younger!) and fantastically self-controlled - I do like it. I think good singer or good music performer should not express unnecessary emotion by associating with one's musical skills.

But above all, the most different thing is that I understand the lyrics now. He has been singing about 'love' all the time but I was too young to understand what he is talking about in the song when I first started listening to his music. Now I m listening to his music as a grown-up and this is very strange feeling. I am involved with the emotion a lot more than before. The song eventually made me cry.

This is very nice. Usually the memory exists in the past time. You recall it and take it back to the one of the memory boxes in your heart. But this little memory box of his song has been accidentally open and it is about to create another new present box in myself.

Sunflowers

The sunflowers in Nick's garden at the end of last summer.

Hope I can grow them without being attacked by the slugs in my garden in this summer!

I have opened the blog quite a while ago but haven't been using at all.

Recently I have got my laptop stolen and most of my photos for last couple of years are lost now.

I should have backed them up in the other hard disk and I know that is my fault.

But what I feel now is keeping on record of memorable (chosen by me among pile of them taken) photos on website is good idea.
